Immigrant Children
While we know it is critical to enhance immigrant children’s well-being, there is little consensus on how this should occur. Professor Fernando Mendoza in his recent review published in Pediatrics has presented the current public policy issues that affect the health disparities of children of immigrant families, and set forth a research agenda for improving our knowledge about children in immigrant families to develop effective interventions and public policies that will reduce their health disparities.
